TWL “Taste & Create” concept reaches new highs in Austria!

Students of the “International Wine Business” (IWB) study programme, offered by The Wine Lab (TWL) Austrian project partner IMC FH Krems, were in charge of organising the 2nd Student Wine Fair that took place on 3 May 2018, in the frame of the TWL project.

The Fair hosted around 20 rather small or less known in Austria, wine regions from all over the world, including more typical ones, such as Elsass, Provence and Georgia as well as more upcoming regions, such as Tenerife, from Israel, Brazil and Spain while more than 120 exhibitors and participants learned new things, discussed, marveled and tasted.

The IWB students had the opportunity to research, explore and taste the products, as they were required to organise the wines, the presentation at the booths and master information on the know-how of the regions and their products.

Representatives from the local wine industry were invited to judge the booths and wines, as prepared and set by the students. Nikolaus Saahs from Weingut Nikolaihof, Roman Horvath from Domäne Wachau, Heidemarie Höckner from Weingut Höckner & Höckner, Christina Moser from Traditionsweingütern Österreich and Marlies Müller-Grossmann, vintner and graduate of IMC herself had to pick wisely and give feedback.

The winners were awarded with specialties that the vintners sponsored for this occasion. We want to thank everyone for participating and are looking forward to welcoming them again soon.
